Billing and plans
This guide explains how the free trial works, the plans you can choose from, and how to manage your subscription and card. You will find all of this under Settings → Billing in the app.
Your free trial
Every new account starts on a 14-day free trial of the Pro plan. The trial lets you try the main flow with up to 3 completed jobs.
A card is needed to start the trial. You are not charged during the 14 days. When the trial ends, your plan starts and your card is charged, unless you cancel first. You can cancel at any time before the trial ends and you will not pay anything.
There is no free tier. After the trial you stay on a paid plan to keep creating live jobs.
The plans
There are five plans: Pro Trial, Essentials, Pro, Business, and Enterprise. Each plan sets how many completed jobs you can do each month and how many people, vehicles and sites you can add. Higher plans add features like reports, branding, the website request form, data exports and an API.
Digital Waste Tracking with DEFRA is included from Essentials upwards, so you can send waste movements to DEFRA on any paid plan.
Prices and limits are shown live on the Billing page and on our pricing page, so you always see the current figures for each plan. The Billing page also shows how much of your plan you have used this month, so you can see when an upgrade is worth it.
Monthly or annual
You can pay monthly or annually. Pay for the year and you get 2 months free compared with paying month by month. Use the Monthly and Annual switch on the Billing page to compare the two. It shows the equivalent monthly rate and the yearly total before you choose.
Promo codes
If we are running an offer, you will see a code on the Billing page, with the discount it gives. Enter that code on the Stripe checkout page to apply it. If you do not see a code, there is no offer running right now.
Done-for-you onboarding
If you would rather we set things up for you, you can add done-for-you onboarding. We load your existing drivers, team and other details, then run a one-hour training session so you are ready from day one. This is a one-off charge, separate from your plan. The price is shown on the Billing page.
You can add it when you choose your plan, or later from the Billing page. If you add it during your trial, you are only charged for it when the trial ends.
Upgrading and downgrading
To change plan, open Settings → Billing and pick the plan you want. An upgrade starts straight away. A downgrade starts at the end of your current billing period, so you keep what you are paying for until then.
If a lower plan does not have room for your current team or usage, Consigns tells you what to change before the downgrade can go ahead.
Your card and invoices
All payments are handled securely by Stripe. From the Billing page, choose Manage card or Open Stripe billing. From there you can:
- Update your credit or debit card
- View your payment history and download invoices
- Update your billing email address
Consigns never stores your card details. Stripe holds them securely.
Cancelling
To cancel, open Settings → Billing and choose Cancel subscription. Your plan stays active until the end of the period you have paid for. After that, new live work is paused.
Cancelling does not delete your account or your data. Your records stay available to read, and you can subscribe again at any time. If you want to close your account fully, you can do that from the app, or get in touch through our contact form.
